𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗔𝗡𝗥 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗔 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻

The MIMAROPA Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (MAARRDEC) successfully conducted the 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗔𝗡𝗥 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗔 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 on June 17–18, 2026, at the RSU Hostel Function Hall, Romblon State University, Brgy. Liwanag, Odiongan, Romblon.
The two-day writeshop gathered faculty members, researchers, extension personnel, and other stakeholders from MAARRDEC Consortium Member Institutions to strengthen their capacity in preparing relevant, responsive, and competitive research proposals aligned with regional and national AANR priorities.
Participants gained valuable insights on the Harmonized National AANR R&D Agenda and DOST-PCAARRD’s Industry Strategic Science and Technology Plan from Dr. Jesselle S. Laranas; the MAARRDEC R&D Agenda from Mr. Macario B. Masagca Jr.; competitive proposal development, DOST-GIA Forms 5 and 6, and project budgeting from Engr. Kathleen Faith Jay O. Villarma; and success stories of DOST-PCAARRD-funded projects from Dr. Katherine P. Sanchez-Escalona.
The writeshop served as a meaningful venue for learning, collaboration, and the development of research initiatives that respond to the needs and opportunities of the agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources sectors in the MIMAROPA Region.
MAARRDEC extends its heartfelt appreciation to 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 for its warm hospitality and valuable support as the host institution of the Training Writeshop, to 𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧-𝗣𝗖𝗔𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗗 for providing resource persons, to the Consortium Member Institutions for their active participation, and to the organizers, facilitators, and partners whose collective efforts contributed to the successful conduct of the activity.
